We’ve had a busy and meaningful few weeks, with some important changes within our Board and some brilliant community fundraising. I’m also stepping into a new role as Chair, and I’m grateful for the support as we continue moving forward together. We wanted to take a moment to share our gratitude to both those who have supported us for some time and to those who are newly joining the journey.
Thank you, Tracey
First and foremost, I’d like to say a huge thank you to Tracey, our Chair, who has recently resigned from her role. Tracey has given so much time, care, and steady leadership, and her commitment has helped shape and strengthen our work. As Tracey now turns her focus towards her family, studies, and her complementary therapy offering, we want to wish her the very best for this next chapter. Thank you, Tracey. You will always be part of our story.
Welcome to our new Trustees
I’m also delighted to welcome three new Trustees who have joined us: Cathleen, Amy, and Cheryl. We’re grateful that you’ve chosen to give your time and skills to support our mission, and we’re really looking forward to working together.
I’d also like to say a sincere thank you to Alex, who has stood down as a Trustee but is kindly continuing to support us from behind the scenes. Alex, we truly appreciate everything you’ve contributed, and we’re so grateful you’re still alongside us.
Our first charity quiz night – thank you!
On the 25th April, we held our first charity quiz fundraiser, and what a night it was! An amazing 21 teams took part, bringing a fantastic atmosphere and a real sense of community. A special thank you goes to our quizmaster, Derek, for keeping the night running brilliantly. We’re also grateful to everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets, and helped make the event such a success, as well as the wonderful local businesses who generously donated prizes for our raffle. Thanks to your support, we raised an incredible £1,200.
I’d also love to say a big thank you to Amy from Baking with Granny, who very kindly donated half of the sale of each of her cookbooks throughout April to support our work, raising a massive £340. We’re so grateful for your generosity and for thinking of us in such a practical, creative way.
To everyone who continues to support us, thank you. Whether you volunteer, donate, attend events, share our posts, or cheer us on behind the scenes, it all makes a difference. We’ll be sharing more updates (and future fundraising dates!) soon, and we’d love to see you at the next one.
