I’m proud to introduce Natalie, whom I first met back in the second wave of COVID when we were allowed out for a socially distanced coffee.
Natalie is a parent whose advocacy journey reflects the strength, persistence, and love that so many families in our community will recognise.
Natalie has spent years navigating systems, asking the hard questions, gathering evidence, and pushing, calmly but firmly, for the support her child is entitled to. None of this happens overnight.
It takes emotional energy, time, and a huge amount of resilience. Through every setback and every small win, Natalie has kept going, always centred on what her child needs to thrive.
Her determination has made a real difference. She has shown what can happen when a parent refuses to give up, even when the process feels overwhelming or unfair. Her story is a reminder that advocacy isn’t about being loud; it’s about being steady, informed, and unwavering in your belief that your child deserves the right support.
Alongside this, Natalie’s family business has been an incredible support to our charity, offering support and kindness that strengthens our whole community. We’re deeply grateful for everything they’ve contributed.
Please reach out to Natalie in her new role with the National Deaf Children’s Society.

We’re so glad she’s part of our Dunbar ASN Community and wish her all the very best in her new role.
